I woke up at 4:30 this morning and had a quick snack before I set out for Arthur’s Seat. Arthur’s Seat is a small peak (824 feet) that’s only a 5 minute walk from my housing. It was pretty dark out when I left and for the first half an hour of the hike, I was stumbling along. I managed to reach the peak just as the sun was rising; there were other people gathered there to watch the sunrise as well.
When I returned, I had some hardboiled eggs for breakfast and then I videochatted with my mom. I had a few errands to do, so I walked around old town and bought what I needed to. I stopped by the Fudge Kitchen on the Royal Mile and had a delicious slab of Butterscotch fudge: I will return there!
After I came back, I fell asleep at around 1pm and woke up around 6pm. I’m going to try not to nap tomorrow, so that I can get on a good sleep schedule. I’m planning on trying Arthur’s Seat again, and this time timing my ascent and descent.
